We have dress up clothing that we store in our Christmas boxes so the children can act out the Christmas story. So, last night Timothy and Elizabeth were pretending to be Joseph and Mary. In these photos Joseph is buying food for himself and Mary. He had to count to be sure they had enough money. You see they were very poor and couldn't afford much, but thankfully they could afford this bit of bread and fish for their dinner.
A little while later, the two of them came traveling through the kitchen and I asked where they were going. Timothy said they were moving to the fanciest inn in town. Apparently, the wise men had come to visit them. Since everyone else had already cleared out of town the inns were no longer full. Timothy told me they sold the gifts the wise men gave baby Jesus and were going to spend the night at the fanciest inn in town. HA! HA!
