In school this past week Caleb continued his focus on writing some of the numbers he has been having trouble with. He is working on Primer in Math U See. He can already count to 100 and add several things, but he has been having trouble with writing some of the numbers. One of the ways he enjoys practicing his letters and numbers is with our rice box. He is specifically practicing his 5's.
Elizabeth has been learning to identify her letters and the sounds they make. We have been using mostly activities from Letter of the Week curriculum. This week was the letter B.
We can never get enough books around our house. We often visit the library, but are selective about some of the books we choose there. Another option I was thrilled to find was this wonderful list. Many of these books were written when there were values and character put into the stories. The books are in the free domain which means the boys can read them directly from the ipad. As a part of our school day they have begun to read through this list.
James has been working on writing poetry. His assignment was to write a poem to tell someone why you love them. James also finished Gamma in Math U See. Whoo hoo! Which means we will soon begin the journey through Division.
All in all, we had a great school week and were able to accomplish much. How was your week?
