Here are the Valentine's we passed out. Ideas from various places over the internet. Elizabeth's paper dolls; Caleb's Starburst; Timothy's pencil; James' was half store bought/ half homemade. We had fun choosing the cards we were going to make and making them. Pinterest is the best for ideas!
We made mailboxes at the party. Just look at that concentration!
Can you guess what this is? Yes, you guessed it an Angler Fish. What? You don't see the connection between Angler fish and Valentines? I think James' true Valentines are fish.
This project was right for her. She loves hearts, pink, stickers and glue. What fun!
The children had so much fun passing out their Valentines. Then, later getting to see the Valentines they received. Since they have never attended school this was a new experience for them.
We spent the afternoon playing and visiting with some friends and then came home to have a lovely meal of salad, steak, and baked potatoes. We even dusted off the chocolate melting pot and had chocolate dipped bananas and strawberries for dessert. We shouldn't need to eat for a week!
Gregory surprised me and Elizabeth with roses for each of us. She didn't quite know what to make of it at first. She couldn't believe this rose was for her. She is a very special little girl!
Matthew too had a wonderful day. He spent the day walking around exploring all the different places we went today. Then he too enjoy some chocolate and fruit after dinner. All in all it was a wonderful day. The children should have very sweet dreams tonight!
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." I John 4:7-8
