Fun with Chocolate

Last May, for Mother's Day, Gregory had this great idea to home dip fruit in chocolate.  Chocolate dipped strawberries are one of my favorite desserts.  He thought it would be more fun if we could all sit around the table and dip fondue style.  It was a lovely plan.  However, it never happened because I ended up having to travel out of town for my sister's college graduation that day.  So, I wasn't home for any meals and then his work schedule made it impossible for the next week.  The fruit was frozen and the plan forgotten.

As we all know there is an abundance of wonderful fruits available everywhere right now.  So, one night after dinner we were sitting there and remembered we had some great strawberries in the refrigerator just dying to be dipped in chocolate.  To the children's excitement we pulled out the long awaited chocolate dipper!  Whoo hoo!  It was delicious and lots of fun.

Our dipping ingredients for the evening.
It was so hard to wait for the chocolate to melt.  They had to sample a few marshmallows as they waited.
                                                    Ahh the excitement!

We did this with our kids last year, and everyone in our house loved it too! Not sure if the parents or kiddos like it more though. :)
