Peach and Blackberry Picking

For the last several summers I have taken the children peach picking at a local farm.  They love it!  Peaches are in peak season right now, but I have not felt like taking them.  I am currently in the roughest part of my pregnancy so all my focus has been on keeping liquids down.  We ran completely out of fruit in our freezer which we use for smoothies.  Fortunately, Gregory and his father stepped up to the challenge.   After this peach picking experience I will have PLENTY for the year.  My husband knows how to go all out. :)  I think they picked 50 pounds of peaches!!

It was a very hot Saturday and the heat index warned most people to stay inside, but the local farm had a special and my husband had the time off work to take them.  So, off they trudged to pick peaches and whatever blackberries they could find.  Here are the fruits of their labors.

The big brothers are always willing to help their little sister.

Now, this pictures shows me why there were so many bruises on a few peaches. haha  Just look at that drop!
I love this picture of my hard working boy!
James was so proud of this huge blackberry.  You can tell just how hot they were getting in this photo.  They had to take a few breaks in the air conditioned vehicle just to keep going.
Caleb just makes me smile.  Every time he knows his picture is being taken he turns around and gives that big grin of his.  He might be looking at something and hear the camera taken out and instantly he starts smiling.
