Hill Country
We took a drive to Hill Country today. We ate at a country restaurant called Ed's Ole Windmill. Gregory had fried catfish and sang praises about it. The rest of us had burgers and a grilled ham sandwich. Then we drove to the lake. We didn't expect to go swimming, but we ended up allowing the boys to wade in the water.
Of course, our water baby was not going to be left out. He had a blast!
After we went wading we looked at the boats in the Marina and then we drove to the Dam. The view from the Dam was amazing!
When we drove through the lookout point we saw some deer and a little fox. We also had a little unidentified bug hitch a ride with us. So we got to explore a little nature up close and personal (next to Mommy's head - ACK!).
It rained at intervals throughout the day, but the rain and clouds made the temperature very nice at a cool 85 degrees.
