School

Our Bible verse this past week was "Let all things be done decently and in order." I. Cor. 14:40
James continues to work on handwriting. We are still working on forming letters properly. He is reading more 3 letter words. We have almost worked our way through the short vowel sounds. We are currently working on short e words. We are excited about all the new words he has learned.

We do a lot of read alouds during our school work. The boys really got tickled when we read Amelia Bedelia this week. If you are not familiar with Amelia Bedelia she is a maid for the Rogers. She gets things all mixed up. They tell her to dust the furniture and she puts dusting powder all over it, she is told to draw the drapes so she draws a picture of them, when told to dress the chicken she puts clothing on it. Her saving grace is that she is an excellent cook and so her employers learn to use her language so she will cook for them.
