Helping Each Other

There are moments in each parent's lives that you want to remember.  Tonight made me reflect on one of those moments.  Each child has a special job to help around the house after mealtimes.  We all work together to clear the table.  James wipes the table clean and Timothy sweeps the floor.  During the hot summer the children's favorite time of the day to play is during the cool of early evening.  Tonight, Timothy told James he would not have much time to play outside because it would take a little while longer to sweep.  James responded, "Well, then I will get a broom and help you."  James isn't completely altruistic.  He truly enjoys playing with his siblings.  His philosophy is usually the more the merrier.  Regardless, I will take the peaceful moments when they come no matter the reason.
