Mammoth Springs

We passed through Mammoth Springs on our recent trip to see my brother's family.  It was so beautiful we had to stop and take some photos.  It was also an excellent opportunity for some nature study.  James saw some muskrats which was new for us.  We had never seen them in the wild before this trip.

There was a cannon at the Visitor's Center which the boys loved.  After we finished seeing the springs and animals we played around the cannon.

There were several geese there.  The children were able to get fairly close to them.  Aren't their orange beaks beautiful?

We were careful not to get too close to this Momma.  However, we got close enough that we were able to see her eggs she guarded.

I love to see my children having fun.  This was a perfect stopping point for us.  They loved getting to run around and the weather was wonderful that day.
