Welcome Spring!

Today is the first official day of Spring!  To celebrate we have been outside examining the wildlife.  It is always so much fun when spring arrives.  My personal favorite is to see the flowers and plants come alive and looking forward to the lovely weather.  My children's favorite is catching all the wildlife that begins to move.  As you can imagine with 3 older boys I have seen my fair share of turtles, bugs and frogs.  We have tons of fun learning about these creatures that God made for us.

Timothy was excited to catch the first dragonfly of the season.  According to the boys this is quite an achievement because they are hard to catch.

 Timothy also caught this very large butterfly.  He was a bit upset when his sister accidentally let it go.

 James found these two turtles.  Timothy later found another one and the boys enjoyed turtle racing.

 I just love the dogwoods blooming at this time of the year.  Beautiful!

 We have several pink Azaleas.  Elizabeth's favorite because she LOVES all things pink.
