On Saturday we enjoyed dyeing and hunting for eggs. In the traditional way that my family has always colored eggs we used food coloring and vinegar in coffee cups. This is Elizabeth's first year that she could really participate. She favored the pink. She did not want to release that color so I think we ended up with quite a few pink eggs.
Aunt Leigh Anne, Aunt Sheri and Gregory's parents attended this year's dyeing and egg hunt. I think Caleb got dye all over him. Oh well, I'm sure he will come clean eventually.
After dyeing Gregory, Aunt Leigh Anne, Aunt Sheri, and Peepaw went to hide the eggs. I think they enjoyed hiding them as much as the children enjoy looking for them.
Isn't this clever?
This egg was hidden in just the right spot for a boy who loves to climb.
Matthew enjoyed his first egg hunt right here.
After the hunt, Gregory grilled Cherry Chipotle Chicken and we had potato salad, rolls and roasted asparagus. Delicious!
