Six years ago, I was nervous about adding a second child to our family. It seems ludicrous now that I was concerned about it at all, but I was. I was concerned about how my firstborn would react. I mean people tell you all the time about how their older child was jealous or didn't like their younger sibling. I haven't had those experiences. Really, mine have always loved each other from the moment they met. James was very excited to have a brother and each child that has been added to our family has been a huge celebration for everyone.
My sweet Timothy. God blessed us immeasurably when He placed this boy in our family. He is an adventurous boy. Want to try Tabasco ice cream? I've got a boy who did just that. Want to see how high we can climb on the railing that is 15 floors off the ground? Yep, Timothy is my boy. Maybe we should just try to climb out the window of a 2ND floor apartment to catch the rain. His spontaneity combined with his sense of adventure helps to keep us on our knees.
Timothy loves cars, trains and anything on wheels. He loves dirt. Put a car in the dirt and all the better. He enjoys beating on trees with sticks, catching frogs and lizards and riding his bicycle. Timothy is a peacemaker who hates to see people upset. A prayer warrior who has a tender heart for the poor. He tends to notice details that I never even thought about.
One of the things that I love the most about having Timothy in our life though is his hugs and cuddles. He is a snuggler with a very sweet smile and a cheerful attitude. I love that about him.
I smile at the many adventures we will have together this year.
Happy Birthday Timothy!
