Mom and Elizabeth
Caleb and Elizabeth. He has really warmed up to her now. He wasn't sure about her crying at first. He loves to talk to her and touch her arm or her leg. He especially enjoys getting to see what new outfit she is putting on that day. Caleb has been learning how to compliment a lady (see post below). A sister is a very good thing for a boy.
Caleb has his own little baby now. A brown teddy bear that Aunt Sheri wrapped in a baby blanket. He carries his "baby" around and pats it on the back. He puts it in the car seat. Last night baby bear even went to sleep with him. This morning I asked if his baby woke up in the night. Caleb said, "Yes, the blue vac woke him up." (That's the vacuum cleaner) I love to see how gentle my boys are with babies. They are so sweet to them.
I have never had trouble with jealousy issues whenever we have received a new baby into the family. A little insecurity the first few weeks from the youngest child, but once those weeks are up they instantly embrace their new position of big brother. Each child has become protective of their sibling. The only thing they don't understand is why the newest member of the family can't play with them all the time. They seem to think she sleeps alot. Ha ha!!!
