Gregory's Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Gregory's birthday yesterday. We feel blessed to have him as head of our household and we enjoy celebrating as a family. We worked hard to decorate, wrap and cook for his big day. James and Timothy both tried their hand at blowing up balloons while Caleb ran around playing with the already blown up balloons. Blowing them up wasn't as easy as the boys thought it would be, but they both ended up being successful.Gregory was pleased at the results. It is always fun to see what we will come up with. Aunt Sheri really LOVES to do streamers so keep that in mind if she is decorating your next party. (ha ha - said very sarcastically!!) Unfortunately, it is a rare occasion to get her in a photo. We'll try to do that soon.
Cookie cakes are a special treat, but it has to be one with lots of icing. We got him this one decorated like legos.Aunt Sheri and the boys made these delicious truffles. Look - we even bought the fancy little paper cups to put them in.
For dinner we had Pioneer Woman's Marlboro Man Sandwich http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/marlboro_mans_f/ which has become a favorite around here. Then, we opened gifts. Gregory got a watch from his parents, original paintings done by James and Timothy for his office, monogrammed handkerchiefs, a small wooden tray for his keys, itunes gift cards, and a new pair of tennis shoes.
