One of my favorite outings has always been a fall trip to the Pumpkin Patch. When we lived in Mississippi we had a favorite patch we went to every year. So, this year I looked up a local farm on this website http://www.pickyourown.org/ 
I thought it was a pick your own pumpkin straight from the patch, but I was wrong about that. Oh well, the boys didn't know the difference and they had a great time.

There was a hay maze, hay obstacle course, gourd bowling and hay rides along with the pumpkins you could buy. 
So, we all picked out our beautiful pumpkins and will use them to decorate for fall. After that I plan to try my hand at some pumpkin recipes.
