Strawberries are one of our favorite fruits! They are especially delicious fresh from the field. My children cannot seem to pick enough of them. This year we are attempting to grow some of our own in containers, but apparently the deer like the taste of the strawberry leaves. They ate 2 of our plants completely. We will see if they can recover and if we can keep the deer from getting any more. Fortunately, even with the deer we can enjoy the strawberries from the farm.
Elizabeth picked 1 strawberry and then sat down on the mound behind her and attempted to enjoy it.
Caleb carefully looked at each strawberry plant while trying desperately to keep up with his brothers who were much faster and more ambitious than he was.
Doesn't Aunt Sheri look especially nice in this picture? She and her friend Felicia came with us. Its a good thing, I don't think I would have gotten any pictures of my older boys they were so far ahead of us.
